Charter School Admittance

Admittance to charter schools is done simply by open enrollment. Due to the fact that charter schools are public schools, the only requirement for entrance is a completed enrollment application. All students are accepted into a charter school as long as there is space for them. The enrollment process is a simple one; students fill out the application and wait.

Once accepted, there is typically a process that involves interviews and assessments. These are not to determine eligibility, but to help the school determine exactly what kinds of services they will need to reach their students during the upcoming school year. Orientations in which both students and the school will learn about each other will follow charter school admittance. The aim of orientation is for everyone to be aware of expectations, helping to make the school year smooth and effective.
