Charter School Scholarships
Charter schools are considered to be public schools and are funded by the public school system. As a result, there are no tuition requirements for students to attend a charter school. Charter school scholarships do not refer to scholarships given so that students may attend the school, but to scholarships that can be gained by the students for college tuition or other endeavors.
Charter school scholarships can be sought out with help from the school guidance counselor. These are typically found through foundations set up by various companies and private citizens who wish to encourage and support young people as they leave school and go out into the world. These scholarships sometimes fund college tuition, books and living expenses or some specific ones will fund seminars, workshops or internships. Charter school scholarships reward good students and provide them with support for their next endeavor in life.
