Charter School Applicants

With the ever changing educational system these days, charter school applicants face a much larger group of applicants than ever before. The popularity and success of charter schools has led some legislators in states such as Texas to lobby for legislation that will allow for the building of more charter schools. Charter schools are regulated by the states; some states have a limit on how many they will allow while other states do not allow any charter schools to operate.

Charter school applicants play a waiting games once they fill out and turn in their paperwork to the school. There are only so many available spots in each school every school year. When those open spots are filled, charter school applicant's names are then put on a wait list. The remainder of open slots are filled by a lottery of the wait list applicants.
